BatCasts feature a “jingle” (somehow the word is too trivial for this purpose)
composed by MCCC student, musician, and composer Kent Watanabe.
Note: the first BatCast includes an early version of his music.
Later BatCasts feature a much improved version that uses more instruments and is longer, too!
These BatCasts are recorded and produced by Ed Carmien. He says “I’m an English Professor,
not a sound engineer, but Apple’s “Garage Band” software allows me to pretend to know how to do this.
All hisses, pops, crackles, or other strange audio artifacts are part of the charm of amateur podcast production.”
Have an idea for a good BatCast? Have you ever found yourself repeating the same three to five minute bit of wisdom
to a member of the Mercer faculty time and time again? You can help the BatCave identify good topics for future BatCasts!
